Facts, Answers and questions about El Silencio Standard Poodles Frequently asked Questions Q. How do I adopt a puppy? A. Please visit our Adoption Process Page. Q. How much do your puppies cost? A. Prices vary depending on several factors, including but not limited to: Bloodlines, Health Test Results of Parents, Sex, Color & Breeding Rights vs Pet (Prices on our website are for Limited AKC [Without Breeding Rights] Breeding Rights/Full AKC can be discussed.) Q. Do you offer Full AKC or Breeding Rights? A. Most of our puppies are placed on a spay/neuter clause. However, breeding rights are considered on an individual basis. Q. Do you offer any discounts? A. Yes, we offer discounts to active military and veterans. We also offer discounts on service animals. Conditions do apply and we will want to speak to the trainer you are working with for service animals. Q. What forms of payment do you accept? A. * Due to the current situation with the Corona Virus, puppy balance need to be paid in "CASH only" at time of pick up. See below for pick up requirements. Deposits can be placed with PayPal or Cash App. Balance must be paid in Cash at pick up or when meeting to pick up your puppy (unless prior arrangements have been made to pay with Cash App or PayPal ahead of time.) Q. Do you use E.N.S. (Early Neurological Stimulation)? A. Yes, we raise all of our litters with E.N.S. Q. Do you raise every litter with Puppy Culture? A. Yes, but we are still learning and don't consider ourselves experts. We try to implement more of the Puppy Culture protocols with each litter. Q. What is your vaccination protocol? A. Our veterinarian vaccinates our puppies for DHPP at 6-7 weeks of age. If our puppies are still with us at 10 -11 week our veterinarian will administer DHLPP and will continue a vaccination protocol according to the age of the puppy. Our veterinarian comes to our house. This way we avoid exposing the puppies to possible diseases at the vet clinic. Q. What is your de-worming protocol? A. We administer Pyrantel Pamoate at 2 & 4 weeks of age. At 6 & 8 Weeks, we administer Drontal Plus. Q. What will I receive with my puppy? A. Our AKC Standard Poodles will come with their AKC Application, a copy of our signed puppy contract/health warranty, copies of parents' health testing, puppy shot record/ and or health certificate from our veterinarian, a Sample of their current puppy food (Nutri Source Large Breed Puppy), toys, sample of vitamins and a blanket or towel with dam and litter mate's scents. Q. What shipping options do you offer? A. *Due to the current situation with the Corona Virus, local pick up at this time only. It is the responsibility of the puppy families to make their own arrangements to pick up their puppy. (We do offer a flight nanny service or we will make arrangements with United Pet Safe for shipping within the Continental U.S. Shipping is at Buyer's expense. We currently will not ship our puppies with ground transport. If Buyer would like to use a flight nanny, we have one that we can recommend. However, buyer has to hire their service directly from them. Shipping cost vary from$475-$550.) Q. How many days, after my puppy turns 8 weeks old, do I have to pick it up? A. Puppies need to be picked up within three days of turning eight weeks. There will be a $20 per day boarding fee from four to seven days after turning eight weeks. Puppies left after nine weeks will have a $40 per day boarding fee. All boarding fees will have to be paid before puppy is released. If puppy is not picked up by 10 weeks of age, puppy buyer is then forfeiting the puppy and no monies paid down will be returned. Q. Will restrooms be available when we pick up our puppy? A. Unfortunately, we can not allow you in our house to use the restroom. All of our puppies are born in our house and we can not risk having anyone carrying diseases in. Thanks for understanding. Q. Do you ship your puppies internationally? A. Yes, we have done so, but it is very time consuming and it there will be an additional cost. We will consider it on an individual basis depending on several factors. Q. How do I know if my puppy application was approved? A. We will contact you within 2-5 business days to set up a time for a telephone conversation. Q. Can my deposit be switched to a different litter? A. Yes, if we don't get the sex and/or color you placed a deposit on, you may move it to the next available litter. However, you may or may not have the same picking order as there may already be deposit holders for the other litter. HOWEVER, PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE from one litter to the next due to several factors including, but not limited to, outside stud service, different bloodlines, brighter markings/colors, market, etc. If Buyer passes on a litter and doesn't want to pay the increased price point, a refund of the deposit will be issued. Q. How often will I receive updated photos once I choose my puppy? A. We try to post or send updated puppy photos every two weeks. We realize our puppy families are very excited to receive updates, but please understand we are very busy implementing puppy culture and caring for your new family member. Plus, we have our own family and adult dogs to care for. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

We take great pride in raising puppies with the utmost care and dedication to their health and development. Here is some general information about the puppies we raise: Health and Genetic Testing: All of our breeding dogs undergo genetic health testing and have passing OFA Hip and Elbow ratings to ensure that we are producing strong, healthy puppies. Environment and Litters: Our puppies are born and raised in a nurturing home environment, with only a few carefully planned litters each year to ensure that each puppy receives the attention and care they deserve. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture Protocol: We introduce our puppies to ENS just a few days after birth and continue handling them daily. As they grow, we follow the Puppy Culture Protocol to introduce them to new experiences, helping them develop into confident, happy, and intelligent dogs. Grooming: Starting at two weeks of age, our puppies are bathed and blow-dried to familiarize them with grooming routines. We also shave their faces, feet, and sanitary areas at four, six, and eight weeks. Dewclaw Removal and Tail Docking: Our veterinarian performs dewclaw removal and long tail docking procedures for our puppies right here in our home. Vaccinations and Deworming: Puppies receive their first vaccinations and are on a bi-weekly deworming schedule to ensure optimal health. Health Guarantee and Support: We offer a 12-month health guarantee on our puppies and lifelong support for their new families. Ready for Their Forever Homes: Puppies are ready to join their forever homes at eight weeks old. Before leaving, our veterinarian will perform a general health checkup. Puppy Pack: Each puppy will go home with a puppy pack containing food, toys, a blanket with their mother's scent, a sample of NuVet Vitamins, and all necessary paperwork for proper AKC registration.
